what is kidyos?

kidyos is the best of the web for kids. a fun place for kids to enjoy and an easy way for parents to organize their child's online media. it is intended for children 6 months to 6 years old.


the web is full of great content for kids: videos on youtube, games, beautiful photos and fun and educational web-sites. but finding the great stuff on the web is hard. it is mixed with the grown-ups' content, it's scattered across the web, it is not well organized or cataloged. it is also difficult to tell the good content from that which is not so good or inapproapirate for children (and there's a lot of that too).


kidyos solves this by bringing the best content on the web for kids to one site. all clearly organized and easy to find. there is no need to maintain a list of bookmarks 'for the kids'. the best videos, educational games and fun sites are just a click away.


the web is at its best when it learns what you like and helps you find more of it. this is especially true for children because they seem to always want more and more. kidyos recommends content based on the things you, and the community as a whole, like. it tunes its recommendations to your child's age, language and style. kidyos is very easy to use. you don't have to sit there to click the 'next' button when it's time - it does that for you. the icons are clear and big and easy for kids to identify... in fact, older kids can pretty much use kidyos by themselves.


with kidyos, you don't have to look for new content, because we do - we constantly search for new material and bring community suggestions into our library. most importantly, all the content on kidyos is pre-screened and suitable for kids.


kidyos is just starting. the site is built and maintained by oren (oren at kidyos.com), with lots of help from his wife and children alma and elai. over the past months a small but growing group of early kidyos users have been sharing a lot of insight, thoughts and feedback. they've helped us learn how to make kidyos better and better.
